KADAI MUSHROOM MASALA


Kadai Mushroom Masala is a delicious, spicy and flavourful recipe made with mushrooms,capsicum, onion and freshly grounded Kadai masala.

Kadai mushroom masala goes well with roti,paratha, jeera rice,steam rice, naan,butter naan,rumali roti,pulao etc.


"Kadai masala" is the star ingredient of this recipe. It is so aromatic and enhance the flavor of the dish. Because of the unique flavor and taste it takes the dish to the next level. Let's start cooking Kadai mushroom masala.

INGREDIENTS

FOR KADAI MASALA 👇

  1. Cumin seeds-- 1tsp

  2. Coriander seeds-- 1tsp

  3. Black peppercorn-- 1/2tsp

  4. Fennel seeds-- 1/4tsp

  5. Red chilli whole-- 2



OTHER INGREDIENTS 👇

  1. Mushroom-- 200g

  2. Onion-- 1 medium( cube cut)

  3. Capsicum--1medium( cube cut)

  4. Tomato 3+Green Chilli 2+Ginger 1inch+Garlic 10= make a smooth paste

  5. Onion--1 medium(finely chopped)

  6. Cumin seeds-- 1/2 tsp

  7. Coriander powder--1/2tsp

  8. Turmeric powder-- 1/2 tsp

  9. Kashmiri red chilli powder--1tsp

  10. Salt-- to taste

  11. Garam masala powder-- 1/2 tsp

  12. Kasuri methi-- 1tsp

  13. Fresh cream-- 2tbsp


METHOD 👇

  1. Dry roast all the ingredients for Kadai masala for 60 sec. remove from the heat and let it cool down and make a coarse powder.


  1. In the same pan add 1tbsp of oil. Once heated add capsicum and onion cubes. Fry for 2 to 3 min.on high heat . Remove from the heat and keep it aside.

  1. Again add 1tbsp of oiland fry the mushrooms for 2 min. on medium flame. ( cut mushroom into half or quarter )


  1. Add 3 to 4 tbsp of oil ,once it's heated add cumin seeds and finely chopped onion.


  1. Once the onion trun light brown add tomato paste ( tomato + green chilli +ginger +garlic) and fry for another 2 to 3 min.



  1. Now add all the powdered masala ( spices) with dash of water and fry for 2 to 3 min. on medium flame.


  1. Now add star ingredient coarsely grinded KADAI MASALA and fry well on low flame.


  1. Add fried onions, capsicum, mushrooms. Mix well all the ingredients.


  1. Now add Kasuri methi and fresh cream with dash of water and cover the lid and let it cook for 5 to 7 min .(approx)on low flame.



  1. Remove the lid and cook for another 2 min. Adjust the salt at this stage.


  1. Kadai mushroom masala is ready to serve.


  1. Serve hot with your choice of bread.
