INSTANT RABRI

Rabri is popular Indian sweet. Basically Rabri is thickened malai or cream in it. Rabri is flavoured with cardamon powder, saffron or rose essence with the addition of dry fruits. Whole preparation is easy but takes long time.



Today here I am sharing Instant Rabri recipe. By using bread crumbs to thicken the rabri almost instantly. It reduces the time of preparation and equally good in taste.


Let's prepare Instant Rabri:--

INGREDIENTS:--

  1. Milk -- 500g(full fat milk)

  2. Bread -- 4 slices

  3. Sugar -- 1/4 cup or to taste

  4. Milk powder -- 1/2 cup

  5. Ghee -- 2 tbsp

  6. Dry fruits --1 tbsp ( chopped)

  7. Cardamon powder -- 1/2 tsp

  8. For garnishing -- chopped dry fruits.

METHOD:--

  1. Take 4 slices of bread ( brown bread or regular bread). Remove the sides.


  1. Take a mixer jar and add bread to make fresh bread crumbs.


  1. Now take a fry pan add ghee and bread crumbs. Stir till it becomes almost crisp. Keep the flame at lowest.




  1. Now take a heavy bottom pan. Add milk and bring the milk to boil.

  2. Reduce 1/4 th of the milk. Then add milk powder, sugar and chopped dry fruits. Let the sugar dissolve completely.


  1. Now mix bread crumbs in small batches in milk till the milk get thicken. Keep the flame at lowest.

  2. Check the consistency. It should be neither thick nor runny.


  1. Switch off the flame. Add cardamon powder. Let it cool down completely.

  2. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  3. Instant Rabri is ready to serve. Garnish with chop dry fruits.
