Coconut laddoo are the traditional Indian desert. We make these for most of our festivals, occasions or for any kind of celebration. These laddoo taste delicious and easy to make .These Coconut laddoo make an amazing gift to share with friends and relatives.
Traditionally Coconut laddoo were made with fresh grated coconut and with jaggery or sugar. These delicious laddoo cab be made by using fresh coconut or with desiccated coconut with cardamon powder. Let's start cooking:-
INGREDIENTS:-
Desiccated coconut - 2 cups
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Milk powder - 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts - 10 to 12 pieces
Cardamon - 4 pieces ( powdered)
Khus syrup - 15 ml ( optional)
Ghee - 1tsp
METHOD:-
Take a heavy bottom pan. Add milk and sugar. Keep stirring. Wait till the sugar get dissolve completely.
Add desiccated coconut and mix well . Now add milk powder. Keep stirring the whole mixture in low flame. If required one can add little bit of milk at this point if required.
Most important is mixture should be almost like a dough form. It should be moist but not soggy else they will not get a good shape when rolled.
Add cardamon powder and ghee mix well.
Switch off the gas and add khus syrup and mix well. Set aside till the temperature comes down.
When the temperature comes down to warm start making laddoo. Roll them in desiccated coconut powder. Garnish them with cashew nuts.
Store coconut laddoo in an airtight container. Refrigerate and consume them in 5 to 6 days.
