PANEER IN WHITE GRAVY #No onion & No garlic

PANEER or Indian cottage cheese is very common in Indian cuisine. It is made by curdling the milk with vinegar or lemon juice. Paneer is very much liked by North Indian and easily available in any restaurants.

Paneer in white gravy is smooth,creamy and rich dish because of the cashew paste use in it. It is Quick and easy recipe easily made at home with few simple ingredients in 15 min.

This recipe is perfect for any festive meals.If you are a paneer lover like me than this is a must must try recipe.

Let start cooking:-

INGREDIENTS:-



  1. Paneer - 200g

  2. Milk - 1 cup

  3. Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup

  4. Poppy seeds - 1/2 cup

  5. Melon seeds - 1/4 cup

  6. Kasturi methi - 1/2 tsp

  7. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

  8. Cardamom - 2 piece (powdered)

  9. Green Chilli - 2 piece

  10. Sugar - 1tsp

  11. Salt - to taste

  12. Oil - 3 tsp


METHOD :-

  1. Cut the paneer into desire shape and keep them in warm water for 5 min. ( in case paneer is store bought).

  2. Take a mixer jar; add cashew nuts, poppy seeds , melon seeds & grind them without adding water.

  3. Now add green chilli, ginger and kasturi methi; add 1/4 cup water to make a smooth paste.( adjust the water if required).

  4. Take a pan or kadai; add oil as soon as oil get heated

  5. add the whole paste and keep stirring. Add salt.

  6. Keep the flame in medium to low as cashew have tendency to stick the bottom of the pan.

  7. When oil ooze out from the masala add garam masala powder. Mix well.

  8. Now add milk and give a nice mix . Add paneer .keep the flame low.

  9. Add sugar and adjust the salt. Let the gravy cook on low flame for 2 to 3 min. Add cardamon powdered. Check the consistency.

  10. Paneer in white gravy is ready to serve. Transfer the whole in serving bowl garnish with Rogan oil.

  11. Serve hot . Its goes well with any kind of Indian breads or pulao.

NOTE :-

This white gravy can be use for mix veg. or for malai kofta.
