"BEETROOT HALWA "

"BEETROOT " is a root vegetable with great source of fiber, iron,vitamin C..... have a number of health benefits.

Although beetroot is considered as a under rated vegetable but it can be used in many cuisine. Because of its gorgeous red colour it takes the cuisine at another level.

Let's cook BEETROOT HALWA today.


INGREDIENTS

  1. Beetroot - 2 piece( medium size grated)

  2. Milk -2 cups

  3. Desiccated Coconut-1 cup

  4. Khoya/ milk powder - 1/2 cup

  5. Ghee - 3 tsp

  6. Sugar/ Jaggery powder- 1/2 cup ( as per taste)

  7. Dry fruits - Handful ( of your choice)

  8. "Cardamom - 4 pcs (powdered)


METHOD

  1. Heat a heavy bottom pan and add ghee. As soon as ghee melts add grated beetroot and stir for 5 mins in low to medium flame.

  2. Add khoya and desiccated coconut. Mix well.

  3. Now add milk. Let's its cook for 10 mins.in low flame or until the milk get reduce fully.

  4. When the milk get reduce fully add sugar or jaggery . Cook for another 5 min.in low flame and check consistency. Add dry fruits.

  5. Switch off the flame . Add cardamon powdered. Mix well. Cover the pan with a lid so that aroma of cardamon get absorb in halwa.


TIPs

Try to cook halwa in medium flame.
