Sabudana vada is a popular crisp fried Indian snack made with Sabudana(sago),roasted peanuts, boiled potatoes, and herbs. This snack is immensely popular during any fasting.
Sabudana vada is a traditional Maharashtrain snack. This recipe makes for delish sago patties with lovely golden crisp texture and a wonderful soft centre.
Let's prepare the snack.
INGREDIENTS:--
Sabudana-- 1 cup ( soaked)
Sabudana flour-- 1cup
Peanut-- 1/2 cup(roasted&crushed)
Green chilli -- 3(chopped)/to taste
Cumin whole -- 1tsp
Rock salt-- to taste
Curry leaves-- 10 to 12
Lemon juice-- 1tsp(optional)
9. Oil-- for frying
10. Boiled potatoes-- 3( grated)
METHOD :--
Take a fry pan add peanuts and roast it for few minutes.
2. Keep it aside for cool down.
3. As soon as peanuts cool down crush them in motor and pistle or in mixer jar.
4. Take boiled potatoes grate them and keep aside.
5. Now take a big bowl add Sabudana flour.
6. Add Sabudana pearl (sago).
7. Add boiled potatoes, roasted peanuts, Curry leaves, cumin whole,salt,lemon juice.
8. Mix it well, till it takes a dough shape.
9. Now take square or rectangle bowl,grease it and set the dough evenly.
10. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
11. After minutes cut into desire pieces. You may cut it into square or rectangle shape .
12. Now take fry pan ,heat the oil. As soon oil heat up add the pieces.
13. Fry in low to medium heat. Till it trun into golden brown from all the side.
14. As soon as Sabudana vada trun into golden brown transfer them into plate.
15. Serve them hot with your choice of chutney.
