PANEER MASALA (no onion no garlic)

Paneer masala is a rich and creamy curry made with Paneer, simple spices, tomatoes and cashew. Soft paneer chunk in a creamy,silky,super flavourful in delicious curry. Let's prepare the Paneer masala:--


INGREDIENTS:--

  1. Paneer-- 400g

  2. Khoya-- 1/2cup (grated)

  3. Cashew-- 24 pieces

  4. Tomatoes--3 medium(chopped)

  5. Ginger-- 1 inch(roughly chopped)

  6. Green chilli-- 3 or to taste

  7. Turmeric powder-- 1/2tsp

  8. Kashmiri red chilli powder 2tsp

  9. Cumin powder-- 1tsp

  10. Coriander powder-- 1&1/2 tsp

  11. Kasuri methi-- 1&1/2tsp

  12. Garam masala powder-- 1tsp

  13. Salt -- to taste

  14. Sugar -- 1tsp

  15. Green cardamon-- 2

  16. Cinnamon stick-- 1inch

  17. Cloves -- 4

  18. Green cardamon powder-- 1tsp

  19. Fresh cream-- 2tbsp

  20. Oil -- as required

  21. Milk-- 3/4 cup

METHOD:--

  1. Cut paneer into pieces and keep aside.

2. Make a smooth paste out of tomatoes,green chilli,cashew, ginger.



3. Add powdered masala and sugar in the tomato paste. Mix it well and keep aside.


4. Now take a fry pan add oil. Add Green cardamon, Cinnamon, Clove for tempering.



  1. Now add pre prepared tomato paste and salt.


  1. Stir it till continuously because cashew has tendency to stick in the bottom.

  2. Add khoya and mix well.

  1. Now add remaining cashew nuts in the masala.


  1. Stir continuously till oil ooze out.

10. Now add paneer cubes and mix well.


11. Mix well all the ingredients.


  1. Add 3/4 cup Milk and give a nice mix.

13. Cover the fry pan with a lid for 4 to 5 minutes.



  1. Remove the lid. Check the consistency. Switch off the heat.

  1. Add fresh cream and green cardamon powder.


  1. Give a nice mix. Again cover with lid give standing time.

  2. Paneer masala is ready to serve.

18. Goes well with rice,pulav or any Indian breads. Enjoy with your family and friends.
