COCONUT FRITTERS/NARKOL BORA/PAKORE NARIYAL KE

Coconut fritters or Narkol Bora or Pakore Nariyal Ke is very classic, delicious, mouthwatering recipe of Bengal. It is very easy to prepare with minimum ingredients which is easily available in your pantry. This fritters is crispy from outside and moist from inside. It can be serve as snacks with chutney or can be serve as a side dish . Without wasting time lets prepare the coconut fritters.



INGREDIENTS:--

  1. Coconut-- 2cup(approx)

  2. Onion-- 1(chopped)

  3. Green chilli-- 4 or to taste

  4. Poppy seeds-- 1/4 cup

  5. Seasame seeds-- 1/4 cup

  6. Sugar -- 1tsp

  7. Salt-- to taste

  8. Kalonji seeds/Nigella seeds--

  9. Rice flour -- 2tbsp

  10. Wheat flour-- as required

  11. Oil -- as required

METHOD:--

  1. Take a coconut deshelled it.

2. Now take a mixer jar add coconut,poppyseeds,2 green chilli, 1/2tsp Salt, sugar.


3. Grind it and transfer in a plate or in a large bowl.( don't add water)



4. Now add chopped onion, green chilli, seasame seeds ,salt,rice flour,kalonji or Nigella seeds .


5. Mix it well .


6. Now add 2tbsp of wheat flour and dash of water. Mix it well till it take a dough form. Add wheat flour accordingly.



7. Now divide the mixture into equal part and give the shape of "tikki".


8. Now take a cast iron skillet or a regular fry pan for shallow fry. Add oil . As soon as oil heat up place tikki in it.


9. Fry each side around 3 minutes or till it trun golden brown.


10. Sever crispy coconut fritters with your choice of chutney or dips. Or serve as a side dish.
