Semolina (suji) halwa is a common dessert in many Indian household just because this halwa take very little time to cook and are delicious too. But who don't like chocolate. To give a twist in suji or semolina halwa here I have added cocoa powder to take the simple semolina halwa to next level.
This luxuriant melt in mouth treat is unusual and sure to be loved by kids as well as adults.
INGREDIENTS:--
Semolina-- 1cup
Desiccated coconut-- 1/2cup
Clarified butter-- 3 to 4 tbsp
Sugar -- 3/4 cup or to taste
Cashew nuts-- 2tbsp(chopped)
Raisin-- 2tbsp(chopped)
Cocoa powder-- 2tbsp
Water-- 3 cup( warm)
METHOD:--
Take a pan add Clarified butter. As soon as the Clarified butter (ghee) heats up add semolina (suji).
2. Stir continuously till 3/4 done or till it releases aroma.
Now add desiccated coconut, cashew nuts, raisin.
Roast for another 2 to 3 min. Till all the ingredients roasted equally.
Now add warm water and sugar.
Keep the heat at lowest .Let the semolina soak the water.
Now add cocoa powder .
8. Mix well. Cook for another two min. Chocolaty semolina halwa is ready.
Chocolaty semolina halwa is ready to serve. Enjoy with your family and friends.
