Borhani is basically a popular Bangladeshi drink that is prepared by using freshly yogurt and species. It is mainly served during wedding celebration. This spicy drink is one of the important items in the menu of any Bangladeshi festival and occasion.
This traditional Bangladeshi drink Borhani is quite similar to Lassi when it comes to preparation. After a spicy meal Borhani bring a sense of completion. It blends perfectly with biryani or meat or spicy dishes.
Let's prepare this yogurt drink.
INGREDIENTS:--
Curd -- 2 cup
Roasted cumin powder-- 1/2tbsp
Roasted Coriander powder-- 1/2tbsp
Mustard powder-- 1tbsp
White Pepper powder-- 1tsp
Black Salt-- 1 tbsp
Salt-- 1tbsp (to taste)
Cold water -- 1 cup
Sugar-- 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves paste -- 1tbsp
Mint leaves paste -- 1tbsp
Green chilli paste-- 1/2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup-- 1.5 tbsp
In a plate arrange all the spices.
2. Mix it well. Keep aside for future use.
3. Throughly clean the Coriander leaves, mint and green chillies and make a fine paste out of it.
4. Now take a bowl add water ,sugar,and green paste.
5. Add tomato ketchup.
6. Add Borhani masala(pre prepared).
7. Once mixed let the spice water rest for 5 to 7 minutes.
8. Now take a large bowl add yogurt. Whisk the yogurt very well until you get a smooth consistency.
9. Now strain the spice water mix, with the help of strainer into the yogurt.
10. Now mix all the ingredients together with a whisk.
11. Check the consistency if the mix is too thick add water accordingly.
12. Check sugar and salt at this point.
13. Borhani is ready to serve.
