Banana fritters or kolar Bora is one of the easiest bengali recipe. It has got the perfect outer crisp and is tender from inside with sweet taste and the amazing flavour of banana and coconut. It is mostly served as evening snacks with tea,but it can be relished at any times the day whenever the hunger calls.
Lets prepare the banana fritters.
INGREDIENTS:--
Ripe banana-- 5
Shredded coconut-- 1/2 cup
Sugar-- 1/2cup or taste
Wheat flour/refined flour--1/2cup/ as required
Fennel seeds-- 1tsp
Green cardamon powder--1tsp
Cashew- 1tbsp(chopped)
Raisin-- 1tbsp (chopped)
Rice flour-- 2tbsp
Milk-- 1/4 cup/as required
Baking powder -- pinch of
METHOD :--
Take a big size bowl and add all the 5 banana.
2. Mash the ripe banana throughly with the help of masher.
Now one by one add all the other ingredients.
Mix all the ingredients.
Now add wheat flour or refined flour.
6. Mix the flour throughly.
Now add baking powder and milk to adjust the consistency.
Mix well the whole batter. Consistency neither runny nor thick.
Now take appam pan. Add oil or ghee in each cavity. As soon as oil heat up add the batter in each cavity. Or one can deep fry it.
Cover the pan with a lid. Cook it from all the side.
Banana fritters are ready to serve.
