SWEET POTATO CHIPS (Shakarkandi ki Chips)

Sweet Potatoes are a great source of vitamins and considered as "SUPER FOOD " also have many health benefits. It is easily available in winter season.


Sweet potato is used during fasting because it gives enough energy to go through out the days. It's a good idea to keep a box of these chips handy during fasting time.



Now a days when kids are at home all the day long,they frequently ask for " something to eat " .Yummy sweet potato chips is the perfect solution.

Let's start cooking ---

Ingredients

  1. Sweet potato - 1 large( washed)

  2. Salt - As per taste

  3. Chilli powder - As per taste

  4. Oil - for deep frying

Method

  1. Washed sweet potato thoroughly. Use muslin cloth to dab the water.

  2. Without removing the skin, thinly slice the sweet potato with the help of slicer or knife carefully.



  1. Take a heavy bottom pan add sufficient oil for frying.

  2. Now deep fry the slices till golden brown n crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.

  3. Sprinkle salt and chili powder and toss them.

  4. Serve them with your choice of dip. Here I have serve with tamarind chutney.

  5. Enjoy it any time of the day.


Tips-

Fry in small batches to make crispy.
