ADRAK CHAI | MASALA CHAI

Adrak Chai or Masala chai don't need any introduction to any Indian household. This hot beverage is most like in winter season or rainy season. We all know ginger has lots health benefits .It is good for cold,cough, flu and for digestion.


Tea is one beverage that is made in every homes in India. There are many variations of making tea. We can also add some spices blend known as masala chai powder. Combination of both ginger and spices mix can taste awesome. Here, I am sharing the recipe of Adrak chai or masala chai which I make everyday. Let's start making:--

INGREDIENTS:--




Tea for 2 person

INGREDIENTS

  1. Milk -- 1 1/2 cups ( full fat milk)

  2. Sugar -- 11/2 tsp ( to taste)

  3. Ginger -- 1inch ( grated)

  4. Fennel seeds(sauf) -- 1tsp

  5. Black peppercorn(kali mirch) -- 8 to 10

  6. Cardamom(elachi) -- 3 ( powdered)

  7. Tea leaves -- 2 1/2 tsp ( of your choice)

  8. Water -- 1 cup

METHOD :--

  1. Take a pan add one cup of water. Place the pan on medium flame.

  2. At the same time crush fennel seeds and black peppercorn coarsely in mortar and pestle. Grate ginger.

  3. Add crush fennel seeds and black peppercorn coarsely grounded and grated ginger in boiling water.

  4. Let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame. So that all the ingredients release their flavour and aroma.

  5. When water remain half add milk,sugar, tea leaves.

  6. Boil the whole for 3 to 4 min in low flame .

  7. Now add crushed cardamom powder.

  8. Switch off the gas. Cover with a lid. Give standing time of 30 seconds.

  9. Strain and serve hot tea.

  10. Enjoy cup of hot tea and just relax.

Note:--

Serve hot cup of tea with your choice of biscuits, cookies or pakkora.
